Bastien Guerry ccdfa8ddf8 org-datetree.el: Be more restrictive when finding a year datetree
* org-datetree.el (org-datetree-find-month-create)
(org-datetree-find-day-create): Add a docstring.
(org-datetree-find-year-create): Only match headlines with a
year or a year and one or more tags.

Thanks to Suvayu Ali for reporting this.

Tim Burt ad06a946a5 datetree: Recognize year headline with tags as a match
* lisp/org-datetree.el (org-datetree-find-year-create): Also match
headlines with tags.

Change made to fix the problem where a year headline of a
datetree was not matched if it had a tag. The :NOEXPORT: tag
is one useful case that should be matched.

Initial problem observation reported by Jeffrey McBeth on the
org-mode mailing list.

Bastien Guerry 76b0d582b8 Replace Emacs version to "24.2" by "24.3"
This is needed because the current HEAD of the git repository
will not be synced with Emacs 24.2 but more likely with Emacs 24.3.

* lisp/org-datetree.el: Fix regexp to allow datetree to find headings
  with trailing whitespace. This fixes a bug in which an existing
  datetree heading (e.g., "* 2012 ") would not be found by
  org-datetree-find-year-create if it had trailing whitespace. This can
  cause problems, for instance, if one is using column view on the date
  tree, since editing subheadings with column view adds whitespace at
  the end of the top heading.

Bastien Guerry de42649f7b Manually revert maint to e85080.
e85080 is the last correct commit in the maint branch
before releasing 7.8.04. The 7.8.05 release should be
done from this commit.

Bastien Guerry 6e534f9c61 Manually revert back to commit e85080.
This fixes a wrong merge that should not have happened:
commit 7e903a merges the master branch into the maint branch,
while we really want to keep the maint branch a bugfix-only
branch.

This commit reverts back the maint branch to its state before
merging the master branch. From there, we will fix remaining
problems with the maint branch (e.g. copyright issues) then
release this maint branch as Org-mode 7.8.05.

Bastien Guerry e44d2975ff Fix copyright (to 2012) year and Org version (to 7.8.03). 2012-01-03 18:47:01 +01:00
Bastien Guerry 58f1dbccf8 Remove the "Version" header in Org libraries (leave it in org.el).
Also remove blank lines before the ";;; org*el ends here" declarations.

Having a "Version" header forced us to update every file when releasing a
new version of Org; it also forced us to update every file when merging Org
with Emacs trunk, thus cluttering the diffs between the previously merged
version and the new one with useless information.

Glenn Morris suggested this in emacs-devel:

Bastien Guerry d9eeb15ab9 Fix bug when jumping to a datetree from the agenda.
Datetree entries have a fixed form now:

* 2011
** 2011-02 monthname
*** 2011-02-13 dayname

These headings will not be recognized as datetrees:

* 2011 A task for 2011
** 2011-02 several words
*** 2011-02-13 several words

Thanks to Detlef Steuer for reporting this.

Bastien Guerry a6554b2fdf Fix bug when creating datetree heading.
When a heading like

* 2011 Do this

existed, the creation of a datetree for the year 2011 didn't work,
as the "2011 Do this" heading was mistaken for such a datetree.

This has been reported by Charles Cave.
